Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello everyone! Happy Valentine's Day from the Burchetts!
This Valentine's day has been very different than Valentine's days past. This time we spent the day with our beautiful little girl! We had a fun day and Skip made a great dinner tonight.... filet with garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, garlic cheddar biscuits and my favorite desert..... blueberries, strawberries and raspberries with a vanilla cream sauce!!! Delicious! Aubrey got lots of fun Valentine's day goodies too.....her daddy bought her first rose! We hope you all enjoy the pictures of our little Valentine!

This is what I found when I went looking for Skip and Aubrey tonight while I was cooking dinner. I just thought it was cute so I wanted to share it with everyone. He sure does love our little girl!

My baby is two months old!

Aubrey is two months old now! She was two months last Wednesday....

We went to the Dr. on 2/3/10 for her two month check-up. She got a great report from her Dr. She was 11 lb 12 oz and 23.5 inches long! She has grown so much!She is in the 74th percentile for her weight and 87th for her height..she is a big girl. She can only wear 3 and 3-6 month clothes now because she is so long. She is so chunky now too, I love my chunky little baby! The worst part of the whole visit was her SHOTS! They stuck my poor little baby's thighs three times!!! She cried, I cried....it was not good!


She is starting to do more fun things everyday! She has been trying to laugh now when she thinks something is funny. When she smiles she does this cute little chuckle and crinkles her nose :) She is also starting to grab things with her hands on purpose. She has a big monkey ( we call him George) that we are taking picture with every month....

We are going to do some more pictures of her this month with a special Valentine's day theme! I will put those pics up as soon as we take them!

Snow day!

We have lots of snow here in Clarksville! It is so pretty I took a picture out of my front door and out of my kitchen window looking at my backyard to put on here. I also have a picture of Aubrey, her daddy has put his camo hunting beanie on her this morning, it is too funny! She will let you do anything to her :) We are planing on sledding in a little while, Skip's mom is going to keep her inside where it's warm while we play in the snow...seems kind of backwards, huh? Anyways, I also took a picture of the dresser that mom and I painted for Aubrey's room and a piece of furniture that I painted for my kitchen. Skip took me for my birthday to a pottery room in town so that I could make a plate with her hand and foot prints so that is what the plate is. Hope everyone has a great weekend! I will put up more snow day pics as I take them!

We are back!

My blogging has really slowed down due to MANY dirty diapers and crying episodes!(not to mention lack of sleep these days) With all of that being said, I am loving every minute of being a mom! It's hard to believe that our little girl has been here for two months, it's amazing how much they can change in such little time. Everyone told us before she was born "Be sure to treasure every moment because they will be grown before you know it" or "One day you will wake up and wonder where the time went, it's like just yesterday mine were babies too..." we have started to understand what all of those people meant. She has begun to do so many fun things like smiling when we talk and smile at her, cooing when she watches her mobile while laying in her crib and turning her head to watch us as we walk across a room because she now recognizes the sound of our voices. She is also getting so big, I love chunky babies and she sure is chunking out! Although, I'm not looking foreward to my baby getting shots, I can't wait to go to her two month check-up on Wednesday to see how much she weighs. She is already wearing her three month clothes! I will update everyone on Wednesday after her appointment to tell everyone what the doctor days :) I put up a few pics from her one month photos...next month two month photo shoot...valentines theme!

A few new photos of Aubrey

Hey,
I just wanted to put some new pictures up of the cutest baby ever! We are still not sleeping at all at night, she can not get her days and nights in the right order. I tell her every day that there is no other person in the world that could keep me up all night long and still be just as cute and sweet to me in the morning! We went last night to Smyrna to Skip's dads house to have a Christmas party with Skip's brother and sister and Wally's new wife Susie. We had a very good time with everyone. The food was great, Susie is a wonderful cook. Aubrey has her first doctor appointment in the morning at 9:00. I will update everyone on what we learn. I can't wait to see how much weight she has gained, she eats all the time! Enjoy the new pictures!

Our first outing!

We had our first outing yesterday! It felt so good to get out of the house. Mom and I took Aubrey to meet Skip for lunch at Cumberland Grill. She was so good, she slept the whole time in her car seat. She loves to be in the car seat. After that, we went to the clinics to show Aubrey off to all the girls that I work with. We had a good time. Other than not sleeping at night she is a good baby. We have had a very hard time getting her days and nights right. She also has gas really bad and so she cries and screams when her belly hurts, it's so sad! I also put some pictures up of my new curtains that Granny made for Aubrey's nursery. I love them, she made them out of the pottery barn bedskirt that matches her bedding. I'll keep putting up new pictures as we take them!
